Mrs Balls Chicken Wings

Sticky, delicious and moreish, these wings are some of our absolute favourite snacks to make when we have a big group of friends over. They're the perfect dish for a games night, sports watching or just relaxing. They're quick and easy to make and go really well with a blue cheese dipping sauce. The combination is enough to convert even the most ardent opposer of Blue Cheese.

Ingredients

  • 16 Chicken Wings

  • 1 Cup Buttermilk

  • 4 Cloves of Garlic, crushed

  • 2 Tsp Mustard

  • 1 Tsp Chili Flakes

  • 1 Bottle of Mrs Balls Chutney

  • 1 Tsp Salt

  • 1 Tsp Ground Pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 C

  2. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl mix well to ensure wings are fully coated in marinade. Leave to marinade for at least 30 minutes and up to overnight in the fridge.

  3. Place in the middle of the oven on a tray and roast for 40 minutes turning over halfway through and basting with the remaining marinade

  4. Turn the oven to grill on full heat and grill the wings on either side for 10 minutes until brown

  5. Note: Due to the sugar in the marinade it may burn on the baking try so its nice to lay down a sheet of foil/baking paper to make clean up easier.

  6. Serve with blue cheese dip!

Happy Cooking!
